Baba Mileva Foundation has been established with simple, enduring mission statement "To honor the legacy of a life well lived of Savic Mileva by recognizing and supporting those who embody the values she lived by each and every day - putting oneself second, treating everyone with kindness, being gritty, and never ever considering failure as an option for goals in life."
About
Family, both the inner and equally the extended always took the most prominent role in the life of Savic Mileva. By extension, the same values and principles were applied to friends, neighbors, and the community as a whole. Helping others when they needed it, but also asking for help was the chief currency for establishing broad and deep relationships. When spending time with family, friends, and neighbors her soul filled content and joy understanding that was the meaning of life. This foundation's work is an extension of her ability to connect with others in an enduring way and leave a lasting mark in their lives.
"Mali Džinovi" Award Application Form
Mali Džinovi Recognition Award is the first program that Baba Mileva Foundation has established. It is a one-time monetary award for elementary school kids in grades 5 through 8 who are kind, selfless, and fearless. The award is given shortly before the start of the school year to recognize and support 5 students in Smederevo. No academic factors are considered in determining the winners. To apply, two letters of recommendation are required, one from the teacher and one from the classmate of the applicant detailing why he or she should be considered for the award.
